Stress Management Certification Course
This is a 3 day Course, designed to make the student cognizant of stress and how it can impact his/her quality of life. This course will provide methods for identifying stressors and strategies to effectively manage stress.
Course Learning Outcomes Define and describe the nature of stress, causes of stress, the stress response, the relationship between stress and disease and a holistic approach to stress managements. Assess and describe the impact of stress on one's own body, mind, spirit and emotions. Identify, describe, and practice research-based coping strategies and relaxation techniques that contribute to managing life's stress. Develop a personal lifestyle plan incorporating coping strategies and relaxation techniques to decrease the impact of stress on one's body, mind, spirit and emotions. Repetitive exposure of the stress response on our body is proven to lead to long-lasting psychological and physical health issues; these include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, anxiety and depression (“How Does Stress Affect Us?”, 2016).
